Format is a portfolio design platform aimed at creatives. The rebrand required overhauling their visual identity and building out a flexible and bold visual language.
The messaging honed in on the idea of acknowledging the greatness of those who have chosen to pursue their dreams by working in a creative industry. To empower visual artists and to celebrate their uniqueness, with a tongue-in-cheek twist. ◯
I was responsible for spearheading the rebrand from a total audit through to new positioning and leading a design team to build out the redesign, implement the new systems and rollout a launch campaign.
⏌Everything from the brand library was redesigned from top to bottom, including the design of the platform itself which was a whole seperate project.

⏌The ‘hook’, so to speak was to poke fun of the truism that we all think we’re hot shit. We’re designers, illustrators, artists, creatives—our noses couldn’t be higher.
A selection of snippets from the styleguide, including the overall creative direction, visual language, design systems, type, motion, icons, colour layout, and tone.
I wrote and produced the advertising campaign that included a series of humorous spots showcasing our very important talents, like Zipline modeling.

“Having never heard of Format before, even though they have been around for almost seven years, this has certainly made me take notice” -
